Traditional Cyprus Wedding In Askas
Marios & Fotini
Tradition, history, and Profound Love. These were the highlights of this beautiful wedding held in the Cypriot countryside, in the small town of Askas. Sitting in a 200-year-old stone house, the bride etched the lines of her future, putting on her makeup herself in front of a small vanity mirror, surrounded by her friends and family. As she walked up to the Ayias Paraskevi church, she carried with her the love and tradition of a hundred years, ready to bring her story to a new beginning.
Simplicity and elegance were the highlights of this cherished event. The groom, dressed in a charming burgundy suit, received his bride-to-be from her father and together they entered the small historic church with the will to bless their future lives together in the house of God.
The small historic church, its walls adorned with murals of nativity and the Virgin Mary, resounded with the cheers and cries of friends and family that came to support the couple on this incredibly special day of their lives. As the bride and groom walked down the aisle, the elegant wedding dress beautifully draped on the bride, the small church seemed full to the brim with joy, love, and excitement for the couple.
After the vows were shared, the couple set out to celebrate their day, a small party followed by a walk around the town, turned this magical occasion, into a day straight out of a fairytale.
